We are seeking a motivated Laboratory Technician to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for providing essential support to laboratory operations, working closely with scientists and researchers across the organization. Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct daily laboratory walk-throughs to ensure equipment functionality and address maintenance and repair needs promptly.
- Prepare stock solutions and media, troubleshoot as needed, and maintain accurate records of laboratory inventory.
- Lead initiatives to organize and manage chemical inventory effectively, adhering to safety protocols and regulations.
- Chemical and Biological, general waste removal from lab
- Perform glassware washing, autoclaving of media and glassware, and restocking of consumable supplies.
- Provide support to experimentalists as needed.
- Collaborate with colleagues to ensure the smooth functioning of laboratory operations and proactively contribute to team goals.
- Support receiving team needs with packages and notifications
- Other tasks as needed.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in a laboratory environment and familiarity with laboratory procedures and operating laboratory equipment such as pipettes, centrifuges, autoclaves.
- Basic understanding of laboratory safety precautions and the use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Ability to follow standard operating procedures (SOPs) and maintain accurate records.
- Ability to lift 50 pounds
- Meticulous note keeping, communication skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and in a dynamic environment
- At least 2 years’ experience in a lab setting
- Experience with automation and liquid handling robots
- Experience with equipment maintenance, troubleshooting and repair using hand and battery-operated tools.
- Prior experience working in a laboratory setting, preferably in a biotechnology company.
- Previous customer service experience in any setting.
- Facilities/Operations Management work experience.
- Working understanding of molarity and concentrations and how to calculate
- This is a full-time 40-hour per week position on-site, Monday through Friday
- As a Laboratory & Facilities Technician, you will receive comprehensive training to ensure you are equipped with the necessary skills and knowledge to succeed in your role. Additionally, there are opportunities for growth within the organization, with the potential to transition into more advanced positions such as Research Associate or Operations/Facilities roles.

- This is a non-exempt (hourly) role between $25-$30/hr. as part of a comprehensive compensation package
